A journey of Empowerment

How it all Began

How it all Began

The spirit of giving back has been part of Orna and Isaac Levy’s story since founding Yvel in 1986. Inspired by Isaac’s own experience as a new immigrant, they built a model that helps newcomers in Israel build stable lives through skilled work.

Empowerment in Action

Founded in 2010, Megemeria is a school and workshop for Ethiopian immigrants in Israel, offering professional jewelry-making training alongside life skills. “Megemeria”- Genesis in Amharic, stands for a new beginning, shaped by resilience and purpose.

Social Impact in Motion

Social Impact in Motion

Megemeria is more than a school, it’s a full-circle social enterprise where heritage becomes wearable. Designs draw from Judaic themes and Ethiopian tradition, and 100% of profits are reinvested into training and fair employment for new immigrants.

Ayehu’s Story

to Reality

In 2007, after years of dreaming, Ayehu, along with her husband and two children, finally immigrated to Israel. Despite the excitement, adjusting to life at the reception center was challenging.

Three years later, Ayehu was given an opportunity that would change her life: enrolling in the first-ever Megemeria goldsmith training class. Upon graduation, she was gifted a Star of David necklace, a symbol of joy and achievement.

Ayehu’s journey didn’t stop there. She went on to become one of Megemeria’s leading designers, creating the Emunah Necklace a symbol of belief and the fulfillment of her dreams.
